Reflection about visiting MCA
Last Wednesday we went to the Museum of Contemporary Art, I was so
excited not only because we could go out of school to field trip but the MCA is
one of most interesting museum in Chicago. Even though this is not my first
time been MCA, I still looked forward to go there because there were a lot of new
exhibits that I haven’t looked before. Since we arrived there, we paid a ticket
then we went around second floor. There were a gallery by Sylvia Neil and
Daniel Fischel. I looked at every exhibits carefully. I tried to understand
what is the idea of every single artwork, I also tried to think about what
opinion that the artist wants to express. There is a short movie impressed me
so much. The movie is about a fisher caught a fish but he didn’t kill it. He even
touched and kissed the fish as his lover.
I spent even an hour and half on second floor that I forgot I don’t too
much time to look at other exhibits. Therefore, I went straight to Griffin
Galleries to look at the exhibits of Takashi Murakami. I think these exhibits
are the most valuable part of this filed trip. Actually I am not Takashi
Murakami fans, but some of his artwork that I have known for a long time. Also,
Kanye West released a now song which is called Good Morning, the songs music
video is directed by Takashi.
