Architectural Experience
About my architectural experience, I want
to introduce one of typical architecture structures from my hometown, and it is
called Diaolou.
Diaolou structures began from Ming Dynasty to early 20th century. At first, people built them because many first generation immigrants who worked oversea, after these immigrants made a property, they came back to my hometown to build Diaolou.
In late 19th century to early 20th century, Diaolou was built began with defensive purpose that was in order to against the forays by bandits and even the invasion of Japan during the World War II.

In 2007, UNESCO named the Diaolou a World Heritage Site.
